-Advise and support the Medical Director and Operational Manager in the development and delivery of the long term strategy for inpatient services
Promotes a work environment that demonstrates caring by accessibility of safe equipment and adequate supplies in an efficiently arranged physical setting, at the same time cost effective and efficient utilization of these resources especially on consumables
.Lead on the development and review of operational policies, procedures and clinical guidelines ensuring their implementation, review and monitoring.
Participate in budget planning and on-going monitoring and control of agreed budget in line with internal processes and guidelines Responsible for coordination between other departments and IPD.
Develop, produce and review regular key performance measures for the IPD in collaboration with the Medical Director that can be used for service improvement and activity monitoring.
Ensure all staff undertakes annual mandatory training and maintain high levels of clinical competencies.
Plan, co-ordinate, direct and manage the IPD team and resources including off duty Role planning.
Monitor hospital activities ensuring high quality services, correction of errors and repetition prevention.
Education :
Bachelor degree of Medicine.
PHD of medicine of an accredited university is required.
Experience :
Managerial experience within an inpatient setting in a hospital.
5-7 years of experience in medical managerial field in the same industry..
To have overall responsibility for the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe, and efficient and compassionate inpatient services.
Ensure mechanisms are in place to secure effective process of early discharge of patients from the IPD
.Provide accurate data to the Senior Management team on the activities of the IPD in order to optimize strategic planning.
Establish a robust system to facilitate regular observation of each team member delivering clinical care, monitor their practice and technical competence and evaluate their performance.
Line manage the Clinical staff as required, including annual appraisal and active monitoring of performance against Hospital policy and procedures
Measure the consultants Call list adherence compliance.
Regularly updates Doctors call list according to changes.
