-Plans the operating schedule for the OPD clinics (working hours / specialty / physician) and related slotting and housing, OPD closure in relation to OR time / specialty& /physician and make sure all physicians have met their agreed OPD working hours.
-Responsible for making sure all the specialties in the OPD clinics are covered on daily basis
.-Reports to OPD Operational Manager, the list of all maintenance required for OPD instruments and new instruments to be purchased to be included in the annual CAPEX plan.
-Responsible for cascading the targets (Volume, Revenue, CPV) annually and monthly for each specialty and each physician with regards to the overall goal set to the OPD clinics and the historical data for each specialty.
-Monitors closely Doctors’ performance, ensures ongoing feedback and takes needed corrective actions to improve performance resulting in improving OPD outcomes.
-Handles, investigates and resolves patients’ complaints ensuring patients’ satisfaction.
-Ensures that all operating procedures in OPD serve the aim of provision of high quality standards of service
.-Reviews continuously patients’ comments and feedback, and accordingly rectifies root causes of repeated patients’ comments and complaints.
-Works on process and system enhancement to ensure least possible patients’ waiting time and smoothest possible patients’ access to service.
Education :
BSc. Of Medicine, Pharmacy or Dentistry of an accredited university is required.
-Master of medicine of an accredited university is preferred.
-Hospital management Diploma and/or MBA is a plus.
-TQM.
Experience : -2-3 years of similar proven managerial experience in clinics/ healthcare facility.
OPD manager undertakes efficient clinics planning, ensures efficient day-to-day operations in OPD, manages doctors’ performance in OPD in aspects of achieving charge per visits and volume targets in various specialties, referrals management to ensure achieving referrals targets, improving documentation and quality of service provision, in the aim of increasing OPD financial revenue and ensuring the best patient experience.
